Building a Consistent Writing Habit for 11+ Preparation
Help parents establish a sustainable writing routine. Cover the psychology of habit formation: cue (same time, same place), routine (the writing activity itself), reward (recognition, progress tracking, or a small treat). Discuss realistic frequency: three to four times per week is more sustainable than daily. Address common obstacles: the child who says they do not know what to write about, the child who rushes to finish, the child who hates rewriting.
