By accessing or using PenLeap ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
PenLeap is an educational platform that provides SPaG (Spelling, Punctuation, and Grammar) learning tools, AI-powered creative writing feedback, and classroom management features for students, teachers, and parents.
3. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
- Student accounts for children under 13 must be created by a parent, teacher, or guardian.
- You must not share your account credentials with others.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Submit content that is harmful, offensive, or inappropriate
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
- Use automated tools to scrape or collect data from the Service
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
5. Content & Intellectual Property
All educational content, lesson materials, and platform features are owned by PenLeap. Writing submissions remain the property of the user who created them. By submitting writing, you grant us a licence to process it for AI feedback purposes only.
6. Subscriptions & Payments
- Free trial accounts are limited as described on our pricing page.
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings.
- Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase.
7. AI Feedback Disclaimer
AI-generated feedback is provided as an educational tool and should not be considered as professional assessment. While we strive for accuracy, AI feedback may contain errors. Teachers and parents should use AI feedback as one of many tools in supporting a student's learning.
8. Limitation of Liability
PenLeap is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
